Brawl Stars 101: Controls, Movement, and Aiming Basics

Brawl Stars is an exciting game, especially with its fast-paced action and amazing mechanics. However, it can seem a bit overwhelming in the beginning, and you won’t become successful after tapping a bunch of buttons. The game is more about how you maintain yourself around the arena and predict where your enemies might be. Here’s a guide to help you master its controls!

The Control Layout In Brawl Stars

Beginners can make plenty of mistakes, with the most common and biggest one being the fact that they depend a lot on Quick Fire, also called Auto-Aim. Once you press the red button, you’ll automatically start shooting at the nearby opponent. While it’s an excellent feature for close-range brawlers, like Shelly or Bull, it’s an equally bad option for long-range snipers.

If you prefer playing a long-range brawler, it’s best that you use manual aim, which you can do by dragging the red joystick in the direction you wish to shoot. This allows players to lead their shots. Since projectiles can take some time to travel, it’s best that you don’t aim where your foe is standing. Make sure to aim at the place where they’re going to be in the very next second.

However, if your opponent is running to the left, you can aim slightly to the left of them. Once you master this prediction, it’ll complete your transition from beginner to pro in Brawl Stars. It can be a bit tough in the beginning, but make sure to practice consistently. Upon successfully doing this, you can move on to mastering your in-game super and gadgets.

Master Your Super & Gadgets In Brawl Stars

Upon dealing damage, your Super meter will go up, and this is an absolutely game-changing ability that can even break walls, deal massive damage, and heal teammates. Similar to your main attack, you can either drag the yellow button to aim manually or tap it to auto-aim. It’s best to manually aim your Super as well to make sure that you hit as many opponents as possible.

Last but not least, keep your Gadgets and Hypercharges in mind once you unlock them in Brawl Stars. These are unique buttons and abilities in the game that show up near a player’s attack joysticks. Gadgets come with limited uses in each match, so make sure to save them for critical moments. Once you combine clever movement, accurate manual aiming, and perfectly timed Supers in your match, you’ll dominate the middle of the map and get your team the win.

Conclusion

It’s always essential to first understand and learn the basics of Brawl Stars to build muscle memory for aiming and movement. Begin by practicing your manual aim in the Training Cave, and soon enough, you’ll see yourself hitting those long-range shots easily. Make sure to continue your practice and remain patient. Dodge enemy fire, and you’ll get yourself that victory.
