How to Stop the Hero Mega Minion Teleport in Clash Royale

The February 2026 season will release 2 new Heroes, and one of them is the Hero version of the classic aerial troop card, Mega Minion. We now know that Mega Minion will not be featured with the Pass Royale, but will be launching later in the season. Just like all Hero cards, this one shares the same base stats as its standard version too.

Hero Mega Minion’s Hero Ability, known as the ‘Wounding Warp’ allows a warp or a teleportation to the lowest-HP opponent on the map and deals an initial extra damage of 468, which is 50% more than a normal hit of 312. After this, it returns to normal battle mode.

This Hero Ability allows you to go after your enemy’s support troops or weaken big, overwhelming attacks. When these Mega Minions are on the opposing team, many players struggle to stop their abilities efficiently.

Understanding the Teleport Mechanism in Clash Royale

Hero Mega Minion does not teleport at random. His ability targets the enemy unit with the lowest maximum HP on the entire arena. Once you deploy the Ability, before actually teleporting, it shows a preview marker, a black circle, that lets you know about the location of the enemy.

It is also worth it to keep in mind that the target selection rules for the Wounding Warp include targeting the opponent that is furthest away among opponents with the same HP. This Hero Ability cannot target Crown Towers.

If the enemy is not defeated, the Hero Mega Minion will not be able to select a new target. However, once defeated, these Rare cards will be able to select a new target after a waiting period of one second.

This means you can control what he teleports to by managing which units are present on the battlefield and their max health. Eliminating or avoiding low-max-HP troops denies him easy picks.

How to Prevent the Teleport

Follow these practical steps to stop or limit your opponent’s Hero Mega Minion teleportation ability:

  • Don’t deploy low max-HP units early. Ghost troops like Skeletons, Bats, or low-HP support units make easy targets.
  • Keep your support troops hidden or protected. Use tanks or buildings to block line of sight so that the lowest-max-HP unit is not exposed.
  • Time deployments when your opponent’s ability is on cooldown.
  • Mega Minions in general have really slow attack and move speeds, so they can be stopped by arrows or zaps.
  • Ranged units can pick at Hero Mega Minions from a distance before they get a chance to deploy their Warp Ability.

Blocking the Hero Mega Minion Teleport is mainly about denying good targets so the ability ends up being wasted and attacking them before they attack you.

Conclusion

Stopping Hero Mega Minion’s teleport comes down to managing targets and placement. His ability locks onto the lowest maximum-HP enemy, so avoid presenting cheap targets upfront. Protect your key troops behind tanks or buildings and spread out units to avoid easy picks. When you cannot stop the ability, try to ensure it locks on to a troop you can afford to lose and then defend with standard countermeasures. With some practice, you will get a handle on how to effectively counteract Hero Mega Minion Teleports in no time.
