Call of Duty: Mobile’s Season 6, titled “Take Your Heart,” went live on July 1, 2026, at 5 PM PT, bringing what Activision has called one of its most ambitious collaborations yet: a full crossover with ATLUS’s JRPG Persona 5 Royal. Unlike many previous collaborations that focused primarily on cosmetics, Season 6 also introduces gameplay-focused modes inspired by Persona 5 Royal. Here’s a breakdown of what changed.

Plunder Treasure Hunt

The headline addition is Plunder Treasure Hunt, a Persona 5 Royal-flavored twist on Battle Royale’s classic Plunder mode. Special “domain” zones appear on the Isolated map, marked in red and announced to every player. Step inside one, and your HUD transforms into Persona-style visuals. Players must fight through three waves of Shadow enemies. Clearing them rewards cash and Persona masks that grant temporary match-wide bonuses. Because domains are broadcast to the whole lobby, expect squads converging on the same location, turning each encounter into a mix of PvE and PvP.

Throwable Frenzy

Multiplayer gets a new limited-time mode called Throwable Frenzy. It strips away standard loadouts entirely, arming both 5-player teams with nothing but the Combat Axe. Randomly spawning targets, live laser traps, and unlockable buffs replace traditional gunplay, making it one of the more chaotic modes CODM has introduced.

New Weapon and Scorestreak

Season 6’s Battle Pass introduces the FSS Hurricane SMG, built for sustained close-range fights with a larger magazine and improved stability, plus a Mythic Draw variant available later in the season. The VTOL Jet Scorestreak also debuts, offering an initial missile strike followed by sustained area suppression, useful for holding objectives in modes like Hardpoint and Domination.

Persona 5 Royal Cosmetics

The Operator Series Armory brings four Phantom Thieves skins, Joker, Panther, Queen, and the Royal-exclusive Violet, each featuring unique lobby entrances, mask accessories, and exclusive Persona-themed animations. A matching Weapon Series Armory adds four Legendary blueprints themed after each character’s Persona, including Arsène and Carmen. Owning the full Operator set unlocks a Legendary Morgana vehicle skin and an animated calling card.

Ranked Play and Events

A new Ranked Play season launches alongside Season 6, offering the SO-14 “Onyx Wrath” blueprint for Multiplayer climbers and the Enigma “Zavesa” skin for Battle Royale. Two seasonal events run in parallel: a Persona 5 Royal shooting-gallery event themed around the game’s Palaces, and a separate summer event with its own skins and blueprints.

Balance Changes

The patch also introduces Battle Royale class balancing. Ninja and Jet Boost receive buffs for improved mobility and close-range engagements, while Medic, Desperado, and Rewind are nerfed. Players relying on the nerfed classes will likely want to adjust their Battle Royale loadouts heading into the new season. The patch also includes weapon tuning alongside Battle Royale class adjustments, encouraging players to experiment with new loadouts.

Season 6 also refreshes the Challenge Pass, letting players earn Tokens through Standard, Special, and Elite Missions that can be exchanged for exclusive seasonal rewards. Alongside the Battle Pass, players can unlock additional Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, and other cosmetics throughout the season.

Overall, Season 6 combines Persona 5 Royal-themed content with new gameplay modes, fresh Battle Pass rewards, and balance changes, giving both longtime COD Mobile players and Persona fans plenty of reasons to jump in.
