Say you’ve just opened some card packs and you got some pretty cool cards but you want more and you can’t open any more packs for the day, what do you do? Well that’s where Wonder Picks come in! While you don’t open any packs themselves, you can still collect cards from them in a roundabout way! To find Wonder Picks simply select the “Wonder Picks” option from the Home menu.
Wonder Picks work by looking at what packs players have opened and putting them in a market of sorts, allowing other players to see what packs they’ve opened and which cards they obtained from those packs. These picks will be restricted to a set number of players at a time so don’t expect 100 players to choose from! You can then select a player and then play a short minigame where those cards are shuffled and you must pick 1 of the 5 cards available. Once that card is picked it goes into your own collection! Keep in mind that when selecting cards you’re not taking away from someone else’s card collection, rather you own your very own version of the card they just pulled! To do a Wonder Pick you must use Wonder Hourglasses, the currency for Wonder Picks, and how many you need to access a player’s picks depend on the rarity of the cards. For example, if all the cards are very common then that pick will only cost 1 hourglass, but if 1 card is a rare card or a shiny card those picks may cost up to 3 or 4 hourglasses!

Of course there are some variants to Wonder Picks depending on which card packs you choose and whether special events are on. If you pick a card pack with 4 cards in it, when you Wonder Pick that player’s cards you will get another item as a replacement for the 5th card (for example a Pack Hourglass). Events bring a different kind of variety to Wonder Picks as there will always be set cards in event picks with some extra bonuses if you don’t get the cards you want (for example Wonder Hourglasses or Event Tickets you can spend in the shop). Chancey Picks work in the same way although they cost 2 hourglasses each and are only available for 2 hours at a time during an event. The difference between regular event picks and Chancey Picks are that while the event ones are free you won’t be guaranteed a card whereas the Chancey Pick costs 2 hourglasses but you are guaranteed an event card in the pick. These cards are of course available for a limited time so make sure you get them before it’s too late!
As mentioned above Wonder Hourglasses are very important for Wonder Picks and you can obtain them mainly through completing missions such as Daily, Event, Card Pack, etc. but if you ever find a player’s Wonder Pick that’s unavailable since the time for picking them is over, there is a way to get those cards; Rewind Watches! These watches are incredibly rare and unavailable to purchase, even with Poké Gold! The only way to obtain them are through levelling up your profile and you get 1 Rewind Watch for every level gained. By using these watches (and the Wonder Hourglasses needed to obtain the cards) you can select an expired Wonder Pick and play the minigame like normal!
