An Infinity Split is one of the most coveted parts of playing Marvel Snap. Unlike other digital card games, upgrading does not change a card’s power or ability. It only improves the card’s visual bling while moving your account forward on the progression track.
Marvel Snap also lets you use ‘Infinity Splits’ to add pizzazz and elegance to your already existing decks. The process of acquiring these can be confusing for newbies to the game.
How to Upgrade Cards in Marvel Snap
Each card starts at Common rarity. From that base, you can upgrade to different rarities like:
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Ultra
- Infinity
These rarities are depicted by the color of the border of the card. But how exactly do we upgrade our cards in Marvel Snap? There are two ways: Credits and Boosters.
Credits
The currency in Marvel Snap, Credits, can be utilized to buy card upgrades. You can gather Credits in multiple ways, such as by completing the Daily Missions and partaking in the Season Passes. You can even buy Credits with Gold.
Boosters
Boosters belong to individual cards in Marvel Snap. Once a match ends, you earn Boosters for the card you played with. You receive one Booster per every turn you have played. You can upgrade a card once you have garnered enough Boosters for that card.
The more you use a card in your regular decks, the higher the chances you earn Boosters for this card. So if you have a card in mind that you want to take up to the Infinity level, try to use it in your deck in every match you play.
Fast Upgrades
You can also use the ‘Fast Upgrade’ in the Shop to buy Boosters. In the Shop, you should see three random cards that you can upgrade using Credits. The price of every upgrade is lowered according to the number of Boosters you already have for the card.
How to Reach an Infinity Split
The Infinity rarity is the highest rarity in Snap. Once you have reached this specific rarity, you can now perform what is known as an ‘Infinity Split’.
An Infinity Split consists of tapping a button to reset the rarity of the card back to the base rarity, but with an added visual effect to the cards. This visual effect makes it clear that the card is an Infinity version. After this, you can continue to upgrade the card’s rarity again, with each upgrade adding cooler and more exciting visual qualities.
There are a total of 128 different Infinity Splits for every card. Infinity Splits might not improve gameplay in any way, but they certainly give players a reason to invest in their favourite cards. The aesthetic appeal of these cards as they upgrade pushes the players to continue using and playing with these cards in their deck.
Conclusion
Cad upgrades in this game raise the level of your Collection Track, which lets you unlock cooler cards. Reaching an Infinity Split might not add to your progress, but it is still a pretty cool part of playing Marvel Snap. If you commit to the grind, you should be able to Infinity Split your favourite card in no time.
